Every builder gets a plan before they start building.
Nobody just gets up and starts building without anything in mind.
This applies to life.
Every man is a builder: You are building a life, a personality and an eventual becoming.
Every act is a building material laid; every step you take, every word you speak, every thought and everything that proceeds from you is either a block or mortar laid.
There are many people who get to a point in their lives and they ask themselves "how did I even get here." This is because they've made a mess of their lives.The truth is that they've built it like that either consciously or unconsciously.
Most of us are very careless about almost everything we do: We are not thoughtful of the things we say, we are not considerate of the places we go to and even the people we relate with.
All of these things have their corresponding consequences in our lives. They build up what we become.
You must understand that knowingly or unknowingly, consciously or unconsciously, you are building: You've laid a block by that statement you claimed to be a joke. You laid a mortar when you got angry and made those sharp utterances.
Nobody just wakes up one day and becomes just anything or anyone: You will not and cannot be different from what you're building.
Whatever your life has become now is the result of the things you've engaged in some time past.
This therefore calls for intentionality in every single thing we do. We must be conscious of the truth that everything we say or do comes back to us whether good or evil.
One very important thing as well is who we are building with. To be able to build well, we must partner with someone to whom we will submit because that person is ultimately superior to us: This is God. For us to be able to build effectively and accurately, we must consistently partner with God. He knows our end and the best of all things proceed from Him. The reason why we build carelessly is because we neglect Him and build as though He is not in our lives.
Until God builds, whatever thing we'll engage will be in the wrong direction and pattern. We must daily partner with God and walk in a deliberate consciousness of the LORD's presence in our lives.
Once again, build intentionally!
